Lost Thoughts by andreasrocha Lost Thoughts by andreasrocha
Blade Runner is just one of those movies where everything was done right. The mood portrayed in this movie is just so unique and captivating that sometimes you wish you could lose your thoughts in that futuristic is almost soothing, although there is nothing really "attractive" about it.
This painting was very much inspired by said masterpiece and I wanted to share my admiration for it.

I like this picture although not as fond of Blade Runner. Besides the insipid women there were surprisingly few people of color in futuristic LA. Needless to say this is a lovely pic and definitely invokes a strong gritty futuristic sense while still feeling familiar. Great work.

This is amazing work.. may I copy it and put it in my folder on my pc? I don't like to take someone else's work unless given permission. I am not going to use it for anything but my personal viewing.. Wow.. you can almost walk into this picture.

Blade Runner is an amazing movie. I agree about the mood, how you can lose your self in the waves of emotion. Sweet painting!

I simply love this work. As i admire Blade Runner, i found myself to return to your work... as i had never done before on DA, or i dont remember. :) Just as i can return to Blade Runner and "indulge" myself in the movie anytime, i happened to return to your work again :)

This certainly celebrates the mood of Bladerunner. That was the first thing I felt before I even read the description. :) I like th elittle overpass with people in it. And the lighting on the right is really cool... flourescent urban canyon xD

I like the touch of all the figures scattered around, especially within the pedway, for some reason. I guess it's 'cause it looks more crowded, like a glimpse to what's inside the buildings. I've never seen Blade Runner, I suppose that would fill me in. But, it's a really cool painting on its own. Awesome work!

I recently watched Blade Runner again after 20 years, since I have always held it as the best movie of all time.It was most interesting to note my own reactions now having seen so many action and sci-fi films with advanced CG.These elements in Blade Runner seem to stand out a bit more for me now but the incredible acting still overcomes the nascent technical manipulations. One thing I missed the first time around was the slow stroboscopic effect of a strong lightsource just off camera in many scenes. I grew up on the coast of Maine on a headland.Next door was a lighthouse and because of it's strategic position and the fact that light bends in moisture saturated air,it's projected beam hit my bedroom wall only on foggy nights. This was a nearly identical effect as contrived by Ridley Scott for that atmosheric effect in the movie...
